Meet Dr. Jana Kortje

The Professional Side

Dr. Jana Kortje joined keith + associates in December 2023. She is originally from Norfolk, Nebraska, and attended the University of Nebraska, completing her undergraduate studies in three years before getting her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2009.

Dr. Jana practiced in Iowa before moving with her husband to Kansas City for his residency at KU Medical Center in 2011. She practiced on the Plaza for eight years and then worked in South Overland Park before joining our team closer to her home in the Prairie Village area.

Dr. Jana understands many patients are wary of the dentist and works hard to make sure they have the best possible experience by explaining any concerns and options thoroughly and completing treatment gently and efficiently. It brings her great satisfaction to convert a once apprehensive patient into a pleased patient, more at ease at the prospect of future potential dental needs. She believes dental health is important and that a great smile can build confidence.

The Personal Side

Dr. Jana and her husband, Shervin, have two daughters aged 2 and 5. They keep her pretty busy, but in her downtime, she tries to stay active at the gym and tries out new recipes in the kitchen. Kansas City has been home for some time, but you’re likely to find her on I-29 headed north to cheer on the Huskers in the fall, no matter how slim the chance of victory.
